Virtual Star Guitar Lesson 16
Hello students. How is that alternate picking going? Are you able to play at tempo? If not, keep practicing until you can play without missing a note.
For todays lesson, we are going to continue with variations on our G Maj scale. The tablature for the last example in Lesson 15 looked like this. We referred to this as “thirds” because we are playing a pattern where we start with the first note and then play the third note instead of the second note. This pattern continues for every note in the scale.

What we are going to do now is to play it backwards. We will start with the highest note and work our way down to the lowest note. The tablature looks like this:
